26 to 34 – Tough day

Tough morning turned into tough day. I once heard that the act of drinking is 'borrowing tomorrow's happiness to use today'. I had a good time yesterday. Today... not so much. Hangover. Also, yesterday's strength training class has come back for me.

I drove The Boy back to Bronkhorstspruit today as he's spending new year's eve that side. I discovered that Disney finally released the soundtrack to the movie Coco. We watched this flick once at the end of November but he still remembered all the characters and the context of each song - I found that incredible.

On my way back I had a listen to a Vous Church message, with guest Terrance Wilson. Picked up a bit of an explanation about why it was so difficult for people to take in that Jesus is the Messiah. The scripture of Jesus walking on water (in Mark 6) happens after he feeds the 5000 (spoke about this a few days ago), and ends with the following:

They were totally amazed, for they still didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves. Their hearts were too hard to take it in.

I think a lot of the time we see what and who God is to us, but we quickly brush it off (because of our hard hearts), almost waiting for the next miracle to acknowledge and admit that we do what we do not by our own strength but through the power of our loving Father in heaven.
