11 to 34 – Let’s talk Love
This post is inspired by my current read, Manuscript found in Accra by Paulo Coelho that I started yesterday. But of course I went to church, it is Sunday. I served two Kidszone services at church this morning, helping out someone who gave me an out from serving on New Year's Eve. So I didn't sit in at main church, but my Wife has pastored me, so we good 😛.
So, about Love...
"Our great goal in life is to love. The rest is silence." - Paulo Coelo
Now have a look at this:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. ~ Matthew 22: 37-39 (NIV)
I think the reason I enjoy serving Kidszone so much is the interacting with the kids and seeing them express love in all sorts of ways. Sure there's a lot of frustration in the classes, but man, them kids can fill up a love tank. They don't hesitate with hugs, with "I love you's" and I sometimes think my loss of innocence has been my loss of love as well. I think we over-analyze and over think when it comes to love:
"We are used to thinking that what we give is the same as what we receive, but people who love, expecting to be loved in return are wasting their time. Love is an act of faith, not an exchange. Contradictions are what allow love to remain by our side." ~ Paulo Coelho
Imma try to express love this coming week, giving to others as I have received... because:
"Life is too short for us to keep important words, for example, 'I love you', locked in our hearts." ~ Paulo Coelho
Here's a song for you - because "When all's said and done, all that matters is love".
